SHNU:A delegation of 10, headed by Wayne Anderson, President of Associated Colleges of the South(ACS)in America, arrived in SHNU on March 25. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei received the guests. Mr. Anderson spoke highly of the achievements SHNU has made in teacher training after Lu made a brief introduction of the university. The members of ACS introduced their own universities and expressed their willingness to cooperate with SHNU in exchange programs of teachers and students. The guests also paid a visit to International College of Chinese Studies (ICCS) of SHNU and talked with relevant people of the college. Incorporated in August of 1991, ACS is a consortium of sixteen distinguished liberal arts colleges and universities. They are nationally recognized institutions located in the South, encompassing twelve states of America. It has a mission to make the case for liberal arts education and to strengthen academic programs of the member institutions. (Edited by Jessica)
