SHNU: An on-the-sport meeting was held in Shanghai University on March 18 to promote the work of key research bases of humanity and social sciences in institutions of higher education in Shanghai. 3 SHNU professors who were in charge of the bases received 3 marble nameplates from officials of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The 3 bases are: Research Center of Modern Chinese Society, Research Institute of Applied Linguistics, and Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Thoughts. Professor Chen Weiping, head of Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Thoughts of SHNU, made a work report on how to run the research bases well under the guidance of scientific outlook on development.
