SHNU:Lu Jianfei, Vice President of SHNU, led a delegation to visit the first Confucius Institute of SHNU, namely, the Confucius Institute of Fukuyama University in Japan, so as to attend the presenting ceremony of the Confucius Copper Statue which boasts a height of 3.6 meters. Lu made a speech on Contemporary Significance and Practices of Confucius Educational Thoughts. The ceremony was also attended by Chinese Educational Counselor, member of House of Representatives of Japan, Head of Fukuyama Civil Council, Mayor of Fukuyama, and leaders of FUKUTSU, and Fukuyama University, etc.
It is also noted that the location of the Statue shall be indicated on the new version of Fukuyama city map. (Editted by Rebecca) |
