SHNU: Recently a SHNU delegation of 14 led by Gu Zhongmang, Party Secretary of College of Fine Arts (CFA), paid a visit to Radford University, Virginia. During the Visit, Zhang Xin, teacher of CFA, was invited to deliver a lecture on Chinese calligraphy. In the meantime, an exhibition of the works of arts and calligraphy by SHNU teachers and students were held. Both the lecture and the exhibition were well received among the local people who said Zhang’s calligraphy enabled them “to know more about China”. Members of the delegation were invited to live in local American families to experience their life and culture there. The delegation also visited other famous universities in the U.S. including Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Columbia University, Harvard University, etc. (Edited by Jessica)
