SHNU: According to the document jointly issued by Shanghai Health and Education Party Committee and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SHNU teacher Huang Lei ranked among the 24 specially- appointed professors (also oriental scholars) from institutions of higher education in Shanghai. The honorary title “oriental scholar” is established to attract talents from both home and abroad to contribute to the disciplinary construction and faculty construction in institutions of higher education in Shanghai. Over 50 teachers have won the title since its establishment in 2007. With his sound academic background and overseas work experience, Dr. Huang is the first to win the title in SHNU.
