SHNU:On December 22nd, SHNU President Li Jin was interviewed by Shanghai Education TV (SETV) in terms of education development over the last three decades, which shall be broadcast at 9:30pm on December 27, 2008.
During the interview Li stressed the importance of respect for both knowledge and teachers, and emphasized the transition from teaching education to teacher education which is related to the progress of the society at large. He also expected more investment in better lab conditions of teacher education, and establishment of more internship bases outside Shanghai, so that students can be availed of the opportunity to teach for a short time in schools of other provinces or even foreign countries.
