Cosponsored by the Education, Science and Technology Department of China’s Ministry of Culture and the journal of Chinese Arts Education, the 4th National President Summit of Arts Colleges was held in SHNU from November 22nd to 24th. The forum was attended by 200 experts from over a hundred universities across China. The summit is divided into several forums of the Fine Arts, Music, Film and Drama, including such disciplines as musicology, fine arts, design, film and TV, drama, and choreography. The participants were also shown around the Design Factory of SHNU College of Fine Arts, one of the 10 Best Creative Gardens in Shanghai. Also, dramas were staged by SHNU students from Film and Television, accompanied with symphony series played by SHNU College of Music. Over 53 papers were received before a shared understanding was arrived: to cultivate more and better art talents of China. (Trans. By Rebecca)
