Hundreds of Campus Pianists Rival in Yangtze Cup Contest

SHNU：The Shanghai Yangtze Cup Piano Contest for Universities in Shanghai will be held in the hall of SHNU College of Music on December 20^th, 24^th, and 27^th.

By November 30^th, more than 200 students of non-arts majors from about 10 universities in Shanghai had applied to compete in the Yangtze Cup Piano Contest. There shall be three categories, solo, ensemble deux pianos, and piano for four hands. The preliminary contest will be on December 20^th, and on December 27^th there will be an awarding ceremony and special piano performance of prize winners. Virtuoso piano master from France and the US would stage classic performances on the day.

The competition is sponsored by Shanghai Arts Education Committee, SHNU College of Music, Professional Piano Committee of Shanghai Musicians’ Association, and Shanghai Parsons Musical Instrument Co., Ltd.
