2010 Closing and Awarding Ceremony of Shanghai Arts Show for University Students Held in SHNU

       SHNU: Themed Gift to Expo and Arts to Home, the 2010 Closing and Awarding Ceremony of Shanghai Arts Show for University Students was held in SHNU on December 9th. Initiated by the international supermarket tycoon Carrefour, the arts show was also planned by SHNU College of Fine Arts, Tongji University, Fudan University, Donghua University, and Organizing Committee of Shanghai Arts Exhibition (OCSAE).
       Centering on the topics of Urban Beauty, Traditional and Modern Life, Happy Life, and Innovation and Sustainability, the show involved young students’ design works to be displayed in the four branch shops alongside either bank of Huangpu River in Shanghai.
       Eric Legros, CEO of Carrefour China, and Pierre Bertholat,    Executive vice CEO of Carrefour China, Zhang Hong, a well-known artist, and representatives from OCSAE acted as the awarding guests for the students winners.
       6 students from SHNU College of Fine Arts won a repertoire of first, second and third prizes, with their outstanding illustrations of animations, oil paintings, and monochromatic wood sculptures etc.
Eric delivered a speech themed Arts and Business after the awarding ceremony, in which he explored about the ways to probe the means to operate arts in a business-minded way, and to promote arts development from business angles.
       In the end, SHNU College of Fine Arts signed a cooperative framework agreement with 4 other universities in Shanghai, Carrefour, and OCSAE.
