SHNU: A special forum on the voluntary service of university students in Post-World Expo era was held in SHNU on Nov.24th. Attendants had a heated discussion on the Expo spirit and future development of the voluntary service system in institutions of higher education.
SHNU Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Lianhua made a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the forum. Also present were relevant people from the Shanghai Commission of Communist Youth League of China，SHNU Department of Publicity, Department of Student affairs, etc.
Wang focused on the subjectivity, practicality, initiativity，and cultural features of the voluntary service of SHNU. He also emphasized the detailed management of the service.
Yan Jiawei from the Shanghai Commission of Communist Youth League spoke highly of the contribution of 8, 000 SHNU volunteers to the Expo. He put forward several points on how to do voluntary-service related work for universities in the Post-Expo era.
