SHNU: The 2010 Appraisal Meeting on the awarding of Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) was held on November 21. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei presided over the meeting. Also present were relevant staffs from SHNU Department of Finance, ICCS, College of Tourism, etc.
The meeting assessed the qualifications of candidates for the scholarship and fixed the final name list. 31 postgraduates and undergraduates from Ukraine, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, etc. won the scholarship this year.
Altogether 122 international students in SHNU have been awarded since 2007. The establishment of SGS has greatly enhanced the work of international student education and attracted international students from all over the world.
SGS is divided into three types: Type A for distinguished foreign students pursuing post-graduate study covers all the expense including tuition, accommodation, living allowance, insurance for major disease and accidents, etc. Type B provides the tuition for distinguished foreign students at undergraduate level. Type C for those excellent students pursuing diploma study.
