SHNU Stuidents Win Bronze Award at the 35th ACM-ICPC

The 35th ACM-ICPC Asia Contest was held in Fuzhou on November 21st, 2010. Yuan Yefeng, Shi Yixin and Xu Zhen, undergraduates of SHNU College of Information, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, won the bronze award for their hard work.

The competition attracted 153 teams from 98 colleges and universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University.

SHNU team made elaborate preparations for the contest for a year and passed the preliminary one in early October when nearly 1,000 teams participated.
 
Considered as the “Olympics of Computer Programming”, ACM-ICPC is hosted by Association for Computing Machinery, an authoritative international organization in the circle of computer technology. Initiated in 1970, it is a competition at the highest level and on the largest scale among college students in the world. ACM-ICPC provides college students with an opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen their problem-solving and computing skills.
