SHNU: At the 124th Conference of CIA MUSIC COMMITTEE held on October 19th, Li Cong, Dean of SHNU College of Music, was elected as member of the committee, which marks the first Chinese representative included in such a globally reputed organization since 1935.
At the same time, Li was awarded the title of 2011 International Vice Chairman of CIA MUSIC COMMITTEE by Chairman of the arts organization for his unremitted efforts to promote that the World Championship of Accordion would be held in China.
As member of IMC-UNESCO, CIA MUSIC COMMITTEE is composed of two committees, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE and MUSIC COMMITTEE. It aims at facilitating the development of the accordion performances, organizing various academic conventions, and hosting international competitions etc.
