SHNU: Recently, SHNU was awarded the title of 2009 Shanghai Outstanding Institute of Conscription at the Shanghai Conference of Enlisting for its excellent work in helping recruit PLA (People’s Liberation Army) soldiers from university students..
Since 2004, SHNU has been included in the army enrolment universities, and succeeded in encouraging sufficient number of students to join the army.
So far, 159 SHNU students, among whom 88 are females, have been enlisted.
