SHNU: From September 24 to 26, SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei was in Beijing attending the 5th International Symposium on Teacher Education in East Asia at the invitation of the organizer of the symposium. Together with him were Chen Yongming, Dean of College of Education and relevant people from the International exchange Division of SHNU.
Presidents and vice presidents of over 30 universities and colleges from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, etc. attended the symposium themed “Teacher Education against the Background of Informationization”. On behalf of SHNU, Chen had his academic paper published entitled Crisis in Teacher Education and its Resolution.
On the president’s meeting held on September 25, Lu, as the only representative of universities from China, expressed his opinions on education alliance of teachers in East Asia.
The symposium also agreed that the 6th International Symposium on Teacher Education in East Asia would be held in Korea with “Traditional Culture and Teacher Education” as its theme.
