SHNU: On August 20th, Chen Lei, MS degree candidate of SHNU College of Tourism, received invitation from the headquarters of the UN (New York) and would start internship in the US from September 14th.
Miss Chen would work for the Division of Cartography, Department of Logistics of Peace-keeping, and map GIS for two programs during her 6-month stay in the UN.
Annually, the UN takes in 3 groups of interns worldwide, with each 150 in number. Applicants could amount to 10,000 to rival for the opportunities. Chen became the first SHNU postgraduate who won a ticket to intern in the UN.
