Shanghai Summer School Initiated in SHNU

    SHNU: On August 6th, 2010 Shanghai Summer School for Overseas Students’ Scholarship funded by Shanghai Municipal Government was kicked off on SHNU Xuhui Campus.

    Zhang Minxuan, Vice dean of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Gao Jianhua, SHNU Vice President, and Maekawa, Director of News and Culture Department of Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai attended the opening ceremony and delivered welcome speeches.

    Started from 2006, the scholarship program began to offer summer classes in 2008. This year, it is renamed as 3S (Shanghai Summer School), co-sponsored by SHNU, Fudan University, Shanghai International Studies University, and East China Normal University.

Enrolled from the sister cities of Shanghai, namely, Yokohama, Osaka and Nagasaki this year, the students include university students, as well as civil servants of intercity exchanges.

    The learners are expected to contribute further to the sino-Japanese friendship after the 4-week- long program.
