In his speech, Lu expressed his hearty welcome to the visitors, hoping the two universities will make progress together by keeping long-term and close cooperations. Micheal, a teacher of UW who led the delegation said that all the students of his university are expecting life and cultural experience in SHNU. The two parties exchanged souvenirs on behalf of their own universities.

The visit will last 14 days, during which UW students will serve as Expo volunteers like SHNU students, teaching kids of migrant workers in the SHNU Charity School, and communicating with SHNU students of the Expo volunteers. In the meantime, they will be guided to learn about the traditional Chinese culture through studying the Chinese language, calligraphy and visiting historical sites.
