SHNU: According to the list released by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the course--Western Theory of Literature of SHNU was among the 43 model courses conducted in English in institutions of higher education in Shanghai. Professor Li Ping from the College of Humanities and Communications of SHNU is in charge of the course. Each of the 43 courses is funded ￥60,000, and ￥20,000 of which is appropriated to Shanghai Center of International University Textbooks. The center will provide supporting services and relevant materials including superior original textbooks to the course. Up to now, SHNU has had 3 model courses of this kind, they are: A Survey of Western Civilization, Corporate Finance and Western Theory of Literature. More good news reports 4 undergraduate courses of SHNU were approved by SMEC as municipal-level elaborate courses, making SHNU reach the total number of 26. The four courses include Modern Chinese, the History of Foreign Historiography, Fine Arts Pedagogy and Inorganic Chemistry.
