SHNU: On June 27th, Australian Pavilion of 2010 Shanghai World Expo invited Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President to promote education, culture and trade in Australia. Lu was received by Dr. Hanmos, Vice Premier and Minister of Aboriginal Affairs Department, Mr. Martin, Vice President of Murdoch University in Western Australia, Prof. Marshall, Nobel Prize Winner for in Physiology or Medicine, and Zhuang Junbing, primary representative of Business Department of Western Australia Government in China. Lu probed about the possibilities of educational and cultural cooperation and exchanges between SHNU and Western Australia State. It is noted that Prof. Martin led a team to visit SHNU on April 2nd, and now the two universities plan to run bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for biological technology majors. Founded in 1973, Murdoch University is an eponymous university for Sir Walter Murdoch, an Emeritus Professor, scholar and essayist of Australia.
