SHNU:The Preliminary of the 5th China National Japanese Speech Contest, East China Area was held in SHNU, and Lu Jianfei, Vice SHNU President acted as the director of the organizing committee. The contest involved 21 contestants from 21 universities across east China who have previously survived in fierce competitions in their own universities.
The topic of the 5-minute given speech is What I would Introduce to Japan about Chinese Culture, and Our Environmental Protection Policies for the 3-minute impromptu speech.
2 Best Performance prizes, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes are awarded.
The two best winners shall win qualifications for the Tokyo final held in Japan on June 26th.
Those who also witnessed the contest included renowned Japanese writer and commentator, Consulate-General of Japan in Shanghai, leaders from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, directors from Nihon Keizai Shimbun and Japan Airlines Corporation etc.
