SHNU: On May 27, Dr. Liu Jinghui, Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council, together with another three people, came to SHNU to inspect relevant work.
SHNU Vice president Lu Jianfei and relevant staff from Personnel Department, Academic Affairs Office, ICCS, and International Exchange Division attended the reception.
Lu introduced the basic conditions of SHNU and the achievements the university has made in overseas education in recent years. In 2008, SHNU was approved as an institution which can take in the Chinese Government Scholarship Students. Until now, the university has received 36 scholarship students sent by CSC. And now SHUN is qualified to independently recruit Chinese government scholarship students. The first batch of 10 candidates is in the process of being screened. Besides, the university will do further study in bilingual and English courses.
Dr. Liu Jinghui elaborated the efforts made by CSC in recent years. At the same time, he talked about the funded program of government-sponsored overseas studies.
Lu spoke highly of the contributions CSC has made in organizing overseas education. He also said that in its future work, SHNU would endeavour to establish the International Students Alumni Association.
