On May 17th, Liu Huanxing, Ambassador of China’s Embassy in Botswana and his wife visited SHNU, and were received by SHNU President Li Jin, and Vice President Lu Jianfei, among others from SHNU Division of International Exchanges, and SHNU Confucius Institute in Botswana.
Li highlighted the importance of exchanges with Africa, and expressed his hopes of promoting the development of Confucius Institute as a platform for economic and cultural exchanges.
The ambassador couple was presented with Chinese painting works as a gift. A discussion was also held concerning the founding of scholarship for Botswana students, and inviting African students to attend the SHNU International Arts Festival, and African scholars to the Xuesihu Overseas Masters Forum.
