SHNU: April 14th of 2010 marks the day of a quake of 7.1 on the Richter scale hitting the city of Yushu, a town of China’s Qinghai province. It struck a deep chord with SHNU teachers and students who volunteered to donate in various ways to provide help for the disaster stricken people. April 21st, SHNU donators stood in silent tribute to commemorate the victims, praying for those who survived the disaster to hold a strong will and rebuild their homes. The donation box is filled with RMB of different denominations. The donators hope more could be done to surmount the difficulties with their care and love for every Yushu victim. The SHNU donation shall last 3 days. |
