24 Mar 2010

SHNU: The annual UB Cultural Diversity Festival involves fashion show, gourmet fair, and entertaining performances, with the unique Chinese taints overwhelming Botswana students.
During the session of March 15th to 19th, the festival was celebrated with exhibitions of books and pictures, dramas, and debates in African languages, etc.
Teachers and students from UB Confucius College prepared spring roles, jiaozi, steamed bread, kongpaojiding and Chinese fried and crispy pasta balls, and invited those of different ethnic groups to take a bite. The most compelling stand drew the attention of many by dangling Chinese red lanterns and Chinese knots.
Moreover, books concerning Confucius, Mao Zedong, and Chinese fashion and tourism drew the eye of quite a few people.
About 300 representatives of different nations, embassies, enterprises, culture dignitaries, and UB teachers and students were among the attendees.
