SHNU: It has become a kernel issue to ensure the development of national culture in progression of globalization. Sponsored by SHNU Urban Culture Study Center, the symposium on National Culture and Urban Development was held on January 26th.
Over 30 scholars were present at the seminar, probing topics concerning the interactions and urban development of China's northeastern ancient tribes, life pattern and cultural traditions of Tibet, celebrative cultural and urban development, customs and tourism resources of minority groups, weakening and loss of national culture in globalization, and excavation and restoration of historical and cultural sources, etc. As a country with diversified nationalites or ethnic groups, China shall promote the communications and integration of different ethnic groups, and aim at a more harmonious urban life.
