SHNU: On the annual meeting of the Research Association on the Education of International Students in Institutions of Higher Education of Shanghai, SHNU was appraised as “Advanced Collective in Education and Management of International Students in China” for its excellent education and management of international students. And two SHNU teachers engaged in relevant work were awarded as advanced individuals. Representatives from over 30 universities of Shanghai with qualifications of matriculating international students attended the meeting held on January 15. Also present were officials from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau and Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office. SHNU boasts 1,900 international students in 2009, almost the same as that of 2008, with a higher percentage of students of long-term programs. （Edited by Jessica）
