SHNU: At the invitation of SHNU, Zhou Hanmin, deputy director of the Shanghai 2010 World Expo Executive Committee, delivered a lecture on December 22 entitled 2010 World Expo and Construction of a Harmonious Society. SHNU authorities including Zhou Honggang, Huang Gang, Wang Lianhua, Lu Jianfei, Yuan Wen, Gao Jianhua, and leaders from relevant departments attended the lecture. Zhou expounded the Expo from the following 6 aspects: reflections on the development of World Expo, how Expo chose China and then Shanghai, three historical turning points, the latest preparatory work for the Expo, challenges in the preparation, and significance of Expo for building a harmonious society. Zhou concluded that it was a great opportunity for a city as well as a country to host world expo as it will contribute to its economic, scientific and cultural development. （Edited by Jessica）
