02 Dec 2009

SHNU: On November 30, experts and scholars from Tongji University, Shanghai University and Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles gathered in SHNU to discuss issues related to ‘World Expo and Citizen Qualities’.
The symposium was jointly held by SHNU Urban Culture Research Center and SHNU E-Research Institute of Urban Culture in Shanghai Tertiary Educational Institutions.
All the attendants of the symposium agreed that, with a history of 158 years, World Expo has attained increasing prominence as a grand event for economic, scientific, technological and cultural exchanges. While preparing for the Expo, Shanghai as the host city, is getting a face lift and its citizens having their qualities improved. Therefore it is of great significance to reflect on how to take advantage of the opportunity to promote citizen qualities.
