Courses for the First-term Chinese Class of Botswana Confucius Institute Completed

    SHNU: The courses for the first-term Chinese class in the Confucius Institute of Botswana
University have been completed. 51 of the 80 students obtained course-completion
certificates, and 48 applied for further study in the program.
    On October 26, the second-term Chinese courses with 101 candidates in 5 classes (Grade 1)
and 48 in 3 classes (Grade 2) were started.
    On the same day, some traditional cultural activities on the Double Ninth Festival were
held in the Confucius Institute. Over 100 people were attracted to the colorful activities
including picture exhibition of Double Ninth Festival, chrysanthemum tea sipping, riddle
guessing, etc.
    The activities got a lot of support from Chinese Embassy to the Republic of Botswana,
Chinese-Botswana Friendship Association and Overseas Version of China Daily.
