SHNU: On November 4, Ramon Cortines, professor, Chief of Los Angeles Education Bureau and former Vice Minister of the U.S. Department of Education, and Fernando Reimer, professor and Dean of the International Education Department of the Graduate School of Harvard University, paid a visit to SHNU. Zhang Minxuan, Vice Dean of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission accompanied the guests. Also present were staff from relevant colleges and departments of SHNU and eminent SHNU alumnus. “We fully support the cooperation and exchange between Harvard and SHNU,” Zhang said. He also expressed wishes for further cooperation with Harvard on academic researches in education policy. In conversation, a consensus was reached between Prof. Fernando and Dean of SHNU College of Education on sending outstanding young teachers of SHNU to study in Harvard. Prof. Ramon also visited Shanghai High School, High School Attached to Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai Science and Technology Kindergarten. The two professors were very satisfied with their tour, hoping more substantial cooperation can be conducted with SHNU. （Edited by Jessica）
