SHNU: At the invitation of Kumamoto University (KU), SHNU Party Secretary Zhou Honggang and teachers and students from the Music College of SHNU attended the grand celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of KU. Altogether 25 institutions of higher education from 10 countries were invited. In the last part of the celebration, SHNU teachers and students presented a fantastic performance of Chinese folk music and folk songs, which won thunderous applauses of the audience from time to time and pushed the festive atmosphere to a climax. Since the two sides signed an interscholastic cooperation agreement on April, 2008, SHNU and KU have conducted cooperation and exchanges in such fields as scientific research, teacher and student exchange programs, etc. （Edited by Jessica）
