The 2025 Conference on Library Directors of Key Normal University Libraries in Eleven Provinces of East China Held at SHNUv

From October 29th to 31st, the Conference of Librarians from Key Normal University Library Alliances in Eleven Provinces (Municipalities and Autonomous Regions) of East China was held at our university. Vice President Jiang Mingjun attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, while Librarian Jia Tiefei presided over the event.

Jiang Mingjun extended a warm welcome to the representatives attending the conference and provided a brief overview of the remarkable achievements made by SHNU library in optimizing collection resources, deepening service innovation, and accelerating digital transformation. He expressed his hope that this conference would serve as an opportunity to further break down geographical barriers.

Jiang Xiaoyun, President of the Collaborative Association of Librarians from Key Normal Universities in the Eleven Southern and Eastern Provinces (Municipalities and Autonomous Regions) and Director of the Nanjing Normal University Library, delivered a keynote speech. He called for enhanced collaboration and consensus-building among member libraries, urging them to proactively embrace the digital and intelligent wave while driving services to support national and regional development.

This conference is themed Review and Prospects: The Development of Higher Education Library Services in the Digital and Intelligent Era. It features the sharing of distinctive practices and exemplary cases. Wu Weiwei, Director of the Fujian Normal University Library, delivered the conference summary.

Jiang Xiaoyun delivered a speech during the closing session. During the conference, the attending delegates visited SHNU library and highly praised the revitalization of ancient texts and the modern transformation of library space functions. They also toured the Xujiahui Bookstore and the Xujiahui Library, drawing insights into the high-quality development of libraries in the new era.
