SHNU Sponsors the 13th International Symposium on South Chinese Social History

The 1st South China International Symposium on South Chinese Social History was held at Shanghai Social Sciences Hall and SHNU on October 26th and 27th. About 66 papers have been received and over 100 scholars and experts home and abroad attended the conference, including those from Japan Osaka University, University of Victoria in Canada, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and among others.

  

The themes include South China Culture and Origins, South China Under a Global View, Development of Yangtze River Delta, Folk Beliefs, Drama and Gardens, Religion and Regions, Arts and Consumption, Culture and Media, and Regional Interactions.

This symposium has become a high-end academic platform of this domain. It signals that SHNU South China Research has stepped on a higher stage.
