SHNU：The results of 2012 American Math Model Contest for University Students were released that 3 students of applied mathematics majors carried off with first prize, while 4 mathematics and applied mathematics majors, 1 statistics major and 1 information and computer science major were awarded second prize.
Sponsored by SIAM (Society for Industry and Applied Mathematics), the annual contest involves university students candidates from over 30 countries. Every team consist of 3 students who are required to complete the paper through mathematic modeling and computer programming in 96 hours.
