SHNU:Improve the content of Sulfotanshinone (C18H12O3) by means of gene engineering technology, is the project studied by Kai Guoyin, associate professor of SHNU Life and Environmental Sciences College. This project has been awarded by Fok Ying-Tung Education Foundation, which marks the 4th time that SHNU teachers have won this fund.
This foundation is named after Henry Fok Ying-Tung, renowned Hong Kong entrepreneur, who earmarked HKD 100 million Yuan to encourage those young Chinese graduates back from abroad for teaching in Chinese universities.
The fund for each winner would be not more than USD 20,000.
