SHNU: Recently, Comparative Study of Yunmu (simple or compound vowel of a Chinese syllable) of Wu Dialect, a book composed by Zheng, a teacher of SHNU, was awarded financial assistance from the Commercial Press (CP), a renowned Chinese publishing house.
This marks the first linguistic works of universities in Shanghai that ever received funds of its kind.
Founded in 2002, the CP earmarks about 1 million Yuan RMB to promote the publishing of domestic linguistic works. There would be no more than 4 books to win this opportunity annually.
