SHNU：On January 4th, the Closing Ceremony of the 9th SHNU Teaching Quality Month and Assessment Conference was held, and attended by SHNU authority, including Party Secretary Lu Jianfei and leading personnel of the university.
SHNU Vice President Cong summarized the performances of different colleges in the Teaching Quality Month and indicated that 2 more teachers won the title of Shanghai Famous Teacher, 5 more courses named as Shanghai Exemplary Courses, 30 more included in Excellent Textbook series by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and 160 business starting plans for university students of Shanghai.
3 first-level doctor’s degree programs and 14 first-level master’s degree programs were added to SHNU list.
In 2011, the number of overseas students amounts to 2, 033. Coming from 61 countries, they are studying at 16 different colleges of SHNU. Among them, 72 won state scholarship, 48 Confucius College Prize, and 65 scholarship of Shanghai Municipal Government.
