SHNU Holds a Christmas Party for Foreign Experts and Students

SHNU：Foreign teachers and international or exchange students of SHNU enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party on December 21, three days before the festival.

SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei and President Zhang Minxuan proposed toasts at the beginning of the party. Zhang extended Christmas and New Year blessings to everyone present and remarked on the work of international exchanges and cooperation of SHNU in the past year. Together Lu and Zhang cut the Christmas cake that symbolized New Year wishes.

Up to December 20, the population of foreign students in SHNU has accelerated to around 2,033 representing 61 countries. There are 130 long-term and short-term foreign faculty members teaching in SHNU. Over 300 staff and faculty members have been sent abroad for various types of visits. for various types, 334 students have been sent to study in 55 universities or institutions in 18 countries. Another 100 odd students have been sent abroad for short-term exchanges, art performances, cultural experiences or internships.

SHNU has received 873 visitors of 169 delegations from 160 universities or organizations of 28 countries. 
       
SHNU has signed agreements with over 230 universities and organizations in more than 32 countries and regions, among wwhichitch are including the 32 new  and renewed with 32 universities and institutionsones.  Futher, SHNU has been actively involved in communication with international academia. It has hosted 8 international conferences and seminars with attendees from overseas or Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, which turn out to be most fruitful and influential in different areas.
