29 Nov 2011

SHNU: On November 24, the Irish Consulate held the three-day “Irish Drama Showcase” in the Irish Center in Zhongqu Square, on North Huangpi Road. Students from the SHNU Foreign Languages College performed the Irish drama “The Rising of the Moon” for three consecutive nights at the invitation of Peter O’Connor, Vice Consul of the Irish Consulate.

During the show, the excellent performance displayed the performers’ good language skills and acting capabilities. The Consul General, Vice Consul, and all the guests at present gave a big thumb to the SHNU students.

The guests who were present were from the Irish Consulate and Ireland Business Association Departments, who also presented wonderful shows. It is worth mentioning that SHNU students were the only Chinese that had participated in the showcase.

The Rising of the Moon was one of the awarded dramas on the Fifth Irish Month of Foreign Languages College, which also belonged to this years’ SHNU International Arts Festival.
