SHNU: An information session on policies of government-sponsored overseas study of China Scholarship Council was held in SHNU on November 22. SHNU Vice President Cong Yuhao presided over the session.
Ms Yang Xinyu, Deputy Secretary General of China Scholarship Council, delivered a special report on “Interpretation of Government-Sponsored Overseas Study”. She introduced the encouraging policy and application requirements of different types of government-sponsored overseas study projects. Yang also answered some frequently asked questions and explained in detail how to prepare the applying process.
Owing to the information session, many teachers and students have had a further understanding of government-sponsored overseas study projects, and a clearer mind of future academic planning and scientific research.
This year, over 10 postgraduates of SHNU have succeeded in applying for projects of government-sponsored overseas study, jointly-run doctoral programs, and sponsorships of full scholarship. They will further their study in 5 universities overseas including Columbia University (US), Durham University (UK), and five Ecoles Centrales (France).
