SHNU President Speaks at the International Forum of UNESCO

     The 2011 Sina-African University President’s Forum of UNESCO was held in Paris on October 24. Chinese Minister of Education Yuan Guiren spoke at the opening ceremony.
       
    SHNU was among the 4 universities in Shanghai that were invited to the forum. SHNU President Zhang Minxuan, on behalf of SHNU, made a keynote speech at the forum entitled Share Experiences and Promote a Triple-Cooperation. Zhang also hoped that SHNU could cooperate with Africa in such fields as teacher training, leadership cultivation and management of tourism resources in Africa.
       
    44 universities from China and Africa were present at the forum. The participants reached an agreement on the Sino-African cooperation and deliberated on the action plan of cooperation among institutions of higher education in China and Africa.
       
     On October 24, as a representative of Chinese universities, President Zhang Minxuan observed the 36th plenary meeting of UNESCO.
