Opening Ceremony of GRIP-CERAM Shanghai Held in SHNU

SHNU: Co-hosted by Risk Analysis Council of China Association for Disaster Prevention and SHNU, the establishment ceremony of the seminar on disaster risk analysis and risk management in coastal areas -- GRIP-CERAM Shanghai was held on October 29.

    The theme of the meeting is “Enhance coastal disaster risk management, improve crisis reaction capacity”. Over 100 representatives home and abroad from the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP), Mozambique, Mexico and Nepal, etc., participated in the meeting. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei and Carlos Villacis, chief co-ordinator of GRIP, unveiled the plaque of the research center.

      
    GRIP-CERAM Shanghai, jointly founded by GRIP of UNDP and SHNU, is a research center for risk assessment and management optimization. The research center caters to the great demand and practical application of risk assessment and management in the city and the country. It carries out the researches on disaster risk analysis, consultation, technological development, scientific popularization, information sharing and capacity training.
