SHNU: On October 15th and 16th, the Peak Forum of Laoshe and Urban Culture was held in SHNU, cosponsored by China Association of Laoshe Studies and SHNU Urban Culture Research Center.
The scholars exchanged reports on Laoshe’s urban life experience and the relationship of his literary creations and urban culture. Laoshe’s pan-media descriptions and usual prose styles have been probed, as well as his artistic features and writing process.
A total of 36 papers are submitted and such themes as Urban Space and Cultural Ideology, London Experience and Jinan Awareness, Urban Experience and Impression, Urban Recount and Classic Interpretation, and Urban Writing and Comparative Study.
Over 50 experts home and abroad attended the seminar.
Note: Laoshe (1899-1966), a well-known Chinese novelist, dramatist and literary critic.
