SHNU: On October 8th, Raymond Bodell, Chairman of IAA, and Harley Jones, Director of Public Communications of IAA, arrived at SHNU to extend thanks for its hosting a successful accordion contest. The guests were received by SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei, and SHNU Vice President Cong Yuhao.
Raymond delivered a letter of thanks which says, “SHNU has offered substantial support and assurance for the 64th Shanghai World Cup Accordion Championship, particularly Li Cong, Chairman of China Accordion Association and Dean of SHNU College of Music, has exerted efforts to enable it a complete success”. The 170 candidates renewed the record of the number of participants involved in the accordion championship, and there were over 1,300 performers in the revelry of accordion arts show.
Gifts were presented to the guests as souvenirs. The ceremony was also attended by Han Zheng, the Mayor of Shanghai.
