SHNU: A meeting in memory of the 100th Anniversary of Xinhai Revolution (also called the Revolution of 1911) was held in SHNU on September 21. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei attended the meeting. Also present were more than 100 representatives of democratic parties and other united front groups. SHNU Vice Party Secretary Huang Gang presided over the meeting.
Professor Yin Xiaohu from Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences delivered a lecture entitled “Democracy•Republic•Modernization: Contemporary Enlightenment of Xinhai Revolution”. He explained the importance of the commemoration of the 1911 Revolution, its historical significance and limitations, divergent evaluation and heritage of the Revolution.
The attendants benefited a lot from the lecture as it was unique in perspective, substantial in content and rich in language expressions.
