SHNU: From September 16 to 19, a delegation of 21 from Nagasaki, Japan paid a visit to SHNU for the 14th friendly communication activities. Over 30 SHNU teachers and students took part in the activity. SHNU Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Lianhua, former Vice Party Secretary Jiang Weiyi attended the welcome and farewell dinner respectively.
The theme of the communication activity is to compare the school education of China and that of Japan. Attendants of the seminar talked about modern education and students’ adaptation to the society. A Japanese representative and Wu Xiaqin, head of SHNU Female Professors’ Association, made comments on the speakers’ opinions. They both expressed the hope that the university students would study hard, grow soundly and make contributions to the Sino-Japanese friendship.
The delegation also visited the Expo site and the China Pavilion, had a night visit around Pujiang, and went sightseeing in Wu Zhen. During their trip, the Japanese guests expressed appreciation for the new and fast development of Shanghai and the beauty of the Fengxian Campus.
The 15th communication activity will be held in Nagasaki, Japan in October next year.
