SHNU College of Music to Cooperate with Sennheiser Sound Academy, Germany in a New Pattern of Teachi

21 Sep 2011

SHNU: On September 19, a contract-signing ceremony was held between SHNU College of Music and the Sennheiser Sound Academy, Germany. A press conference on a newly-opened course on the wireless microphone was held in the meantime.

Li Cong, Dean of SHNU College of Music, signed a contract with Mark Vincent, representative of the German enterprise. SHNU students staged a splendid performance for the audience both at home and abroad.

The signing of this contract signifies the official start of the “wireless microphone” class. The class is opened mainly for the students majoring in sound recording in College of Music. The class will first be given in the later part of October, and in February 2012 for the second run.

Li Cong said that this kind of teaching pattern is a typical example of the cooperation between a university and an enterprise. This is also a pattern of cooperation for higher education, whose advantage lays on the combination of online teaching and classroom teaching.

The sound recording major in SHNU was established in 2005, and obtained the consent to enroll students in 2007.
