SHNU: September 12th marks the first day of a new semester, which coincides with Chinese traditional Mid-autumn Festival.
The 5,000 odd newcomers received each a moon-cake freshly baked with the brand-name ‘Xinghualou’; also, the students were suggested that they express gratitude and fond wishes to their parents through SMS. The leaders of colleges even hosted parties on the campus square and celebrated the day of a full moon. Some students armed in the special gifts from their colleges---postcards and kits. There are quite many veterans who gave up the family reunion to spend time with the freshmen.
This could be an unforgettable day of festive ambience and deep affection.
