SHNU: On August 19th, a delegation of 16 members visited SHNU for the 2-week summer program and was received by SHNU President Zhang Minxuan and representatives of Chinese teachers concerned
Zhang extended his welcome for the African students’ arrival to learn Chinese language and culture in SHNU, and encouraged them to take advantage of the opportunity to work hard so as to fulfill their curricula requirements, bring back Chinese hospitality and recommend more African students to exchange in SHNU.
The bilateral communications have been in progress in recent years by means of exchange visits of scholars and performing groups. The Founding Ceremony of SHNU Botswana Confucius Institute was held in November, 2008, and the first round of Chinese language program was kicked off in July, 2009. By May 2011, there has been 6 rounds of its kind.
